Better Tarot Cards
Explanation
Ever wonder why tarot cards sorta "work"? I mean, I don't believe in anything supernatural, but I do feel they can be beneficial in some way.
Similar to horoscopes, it's probably the fact that everything is so vague, so you kinda fill in the blanks yourself. But I think what also plays a role is the fact that tarot cards often depict something we know from real life.
Random Word Generators
This reminded me of a tactic to combat writer's block: whenever you find yourself staring at that blank page again, you can try generating a random word online (or pick up a dictionary if you're old-fashioned).
Tarot Cards for Atheists
That gave me the idea to focus on that: generate cards with vague meanings from everyday life. It doesn't predict the future and it can't really advise you in any way, but it might help you think about your life and the things you may be struggling with. Think of it as tarot cards for atheists :)
Timer
So why did I add a timer? In hope that you would take the generated cards a little more seriously. Of course the mechanism can be circumvented, but then it won't be real. And if you do stick by the rules it also won't be real.
So why is it better? Because I made it.
